About Me

Hey! I’m Rebecca, I’m at least 31-years-old, a proud Arizona native — born and raised in sunny Phoenix and now calling Gilbert home. For the past four years, I’ve been honing my skills as a UI/UX Engineer at Neudesic, an IBM Company. Before that, I navigated the world of customer success management at American Airlines and explored my creative side as a freelance web developer for a boutique branding and design studio in Scottsdale.

So, what does a UI/UX Engineer do? Great question! My role blends user research, product design, front-end development, and more, allowing me to connect the dots between traditional UX design and development. I thrive on translating ideas into polished, functional products. My favorite part of the job? Guiding projects from that initial spark of inspiration to fully realized, user-friendly experiences. I strive to make the designer-to-developer handoff seamless and foster collaboration to create modern, accessible apps that people genuinely love to use.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me spending time with my husband, Daniel, and our two dogs, Boone and Zona. When they’re busy, I’m likely browsing local bookstores, discovering new coffee shops, diving into a lively DnD campaign, or playing a mix of board and video games with friends and family.

A few fun facts about me: I’m part of a hot air ballooning crew (yes, it’s as cool as it sounds), my bucket list includes visiting all the Disney parks worldwide (only two left to go!), and I recently picked up ice skating as a fun way to stay active. Oh, and I ran my first—of hopefully many—half-marathons alongside my older sister!
